Exciting update on the Honeymoon...

We've officially booked the safari portion of our trip. I'm going to be wiring a deposit later on today. The company we booked it through is called Classic Africa. They've been very good to work with. They put together the following schedule which outlines what we'll be doing.

9 May 2007
Arrive Johannesburg International Airport under your own arrangements (details to be advised). You will be met by a representative of our local partners who will welcome you to southern African, give you your airline tickets and assist you across the street to the Johannesburg International Airport Sun Intercontinental Hotel.

9-10 May
Spend one night at the Sun Intercontinental in a Standard Room

10 May
Today you will make your way back to the International Arrivals Terminal where you will check in at the information kiosk for your Federal Air charter flight to Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve. Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve is situated in the western sector of the game-rich Sabi Sand Reserve, bordering the Kruger National Park. The reserve boasts a spectacular lodge, set high on a hill overlooking a natural waterhole and the vast bushveld beyond. It is masterpiece of stone, wood, earth and glass. There are eight beautifully appointed suites at Leopard Hills, each with an en suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower, claw-footed bathtub, private viewing deck and plunge pool. The main lodge is comprised of stylish indoor/outdoor living and dining areas, a library, an elegant dining room, a “boma” for outdoor dining, as well as a pool. There is a glass-walled “sala” for spa treatments and a well-stocked gym. Early morning and late afternoon/evening game drives are led by experienced rangers in specially modified Landrovers with individual bucket seats and fold down armrests. Guests are also offered the opportunity to enjoy guided nature walks with their tracker, where the focus of attention turns to the many smaller aspects of the reserve’s vast and complex ecosystem. Helicopter excursions through scenic Mpumalanga can also be arranged.

10-14 May
Spend four nights at Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve in a Suite, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all meals, game drives, teas and coffees, all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (except premium brands), optional walking safaris, and the services of a professional guide and tracker).
