Celebrity

So what celebrities do I look like... or maybe I should say, what celebrities look like me? Here's a fun little tool that I found on a site called Myheritage.com. It lets you upload a picture of yourself and then it tells you what matches come back (what's with all the girl matches for me??? kinda scarry!). Try it when you have a second. It takes about 2-3 minutes to register and it's free.

Jenny and Pete's Wedding - Naples, Florida

Here are the highlights from the wedding I shot this past weekend for Jenny and Pete. I had such a good time at their wedding! Everything was located at La Playa which is a hotel/club down in Naples Florida. Everyone at the wedding was fun to be around and very entertaining. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures from the day. I've also included a slideshow of my other favorite pictures.

Headed down to Naples, Florida for the week

This is going to be a very fun week! On Tuesday, Carolyn and I fly down to Naples to visit my family for Thanksgiving. We've got a lot of activities planned for the week - a full day fishing trip, numerous home cooked meals by one of the most talented chefs that I know of (my dad) and one or two trips to The Royal Scoop (the local ice cream hangout). On Saturday, I'm going to be photographing a wedding at La Playa. It supposed to be beautfiul down there so I can't wait. I'll make sure to post pictures on the blog after the event. And the whole time we'll get to spend some time with my nephew Joshua. It's his first time flying on a plane and David and Catherine (his parents) and he actually landed in Naples this evening. That's it for now. What are you doing for Thanksgiving. Ayone going to any interesting places?

Carolyn goes to Oprah and Comes back with a FREE iPod

Carolyn was lucky enough to go to the Oprah Winfrey show today. She got to invite 6 other friends to go with her as part of a last minute ticket thing that Oprah does every so often. The show was about Grey's Anatomy and it aired earlier today. She called me up around noon really excited and told me they gave everyone in the studio a free Video iPod courtesy of Best Buy. We opened it up tonight and it was very cool.

Exciting update on the Honeymoon...

We've officially booked the safari portion of our trip. I'm going to be wiring a deposit later on today. The company we booked it through is called Classic Africa. They've been very good to work with. They put together the following schedule which outlines what we'll be doing.

9 May 2007
Arrive Johannesburg International Airport under your own arrangements (details to be advised). You will be met by a representative of our local partners who will welcome you to southern African, give you your airline tickets and assist you across the street to the Johannesburg International Airport Sun Intercontinental Hotel.

9-10 May
Spend one night at the Sun Intercontinental in a Standard Room

10 May
Today you will make your way back to the International Arrivals Terminal where you will check in at the information kiosk for your Federal Air charter flight to Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve. Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve is situated in the western sector of the game-rich Sabi Sand Reserve, bordering the Kruger National Park. The reserve boasts a spectacular lodge, set high on a hill overlooking a natural waterhole and the vast bushveld beyond. It is masterpiece of stone, wood, earth and glass. There are eight beautifully appointed suites at Leopard Hills, each with an en suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower, claw-footed bathtub, private viewing deck and plunge pool. The main lodge is comprised of stylish indoor/outdoor living and dining areas, a library, an elegant dining room, a “boma” for outdoor dining, as well as a pool. There is a glass-walled “sala” for spa treatments and a well-stocked gym. Early morning and late afternoon/evening game drives are led by experienced rangers in specially modified Landrovers with individual bucket seats and fold down armrests. Guests are also offered the opportunity to enjoy guided nature walks with their tracker, where the focus of attention turns to the many smaller aspects of the reserve’s vast and complex ecosystem. Helicopter excursions through scenic Mpumalanga can also be arranged.

10-14 May
Spend four nights at Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve in a Suite, on a fully inclusive basis (including accommodation, all meals, game drives, teas and coffees, all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (except premium brands), optional walking safaris, and the services of a professional guide and tracker).

Very Nice!!!

I'll start by saying that I go to the movies all the time. And for the longest time there hasn't been many good comedies. However, I finally found a hilarious movie. I have never laughed so hard in my life when I saw the new movie Borat. There were several times where I was laughing so hard I began to cry. I think it's becuase of the simplicity of the plot that makes it so good (Insert goofy foreigner into American culture and see what happens). If you haven't already seen this movie, go see it. You will have a great time. It's so funny... I'm actually thinking about going to see it this weekend again. Here are some memorable quotes from the movie

I will forgive Pamela, and I will go to California, with my friend Mr. Jesus, AND WE WILL TAKE HER!

High five!

Gipsy! Give me your tears! If you will not give them to me, I will take them from you!

She is my sister. She is number-four prostitute in whole of Kazakhstan.

Happy Birthday BRUCE SMITH!

This past weekend we went to David Burke's Primehouse to celebrate Carolyn's father's 60th Birthday. We had a great time and the food was awesome! We actually got a tour of the downstairs room where they age all of their meat. After dinner, they showed as their wall of salt which was flown in from the Himalayian mountains. I think the manager said it cost about $15,000 for them to buy all the salt. We also gave Carolyn's Dad a digital camera for his birthday. Here are two pictures our waiter took with the new camera.
